The story behind the bike, the truck, and the trail.

Shota.— in the dirt.
Quit the 9-to-5. Pointed the truck south to Tucson. Now I write about trails, dirt, dogs, and what a free life actually looks like.
🇯🇵🇺🇸Tucson, ArizonaWhy I left the desk job:
I spent a long stretch of my twenties chasing the thing you're supposed to want — the salary, the benefits, the polite Slack channels. None of it stuck. The mountains kept calling and I kept making excuses.
One Sunday I packed the bag. The next, I packed the truck. By the end of that month I was unloading boxes in a small place outside Tucson, with the Catalinas out the kitchen window and a saguaro the size of a streetlight in the front yard.
This site is where I write about all of it: the trails I ride, the campsites I sleep at, the gear I trust, the dinners cooked over coals, and the small, real moments that make this life worth the leap.
What I’m into.
Food
Drive an hour for ramen. Two for tacos.
MTBs
If the trail is there, I am trying it.
Shorts
Pants are a last resort.
Motos
Two wheels, one idea — keep moving.
Toyotas
Built reliable. Kept reliable.
Camping
Best meals are the ones cooked in the dirt.
Fishing
Some rivers. Some lakes. Never enough time.
Dogs
The trail is never the same without one.
Stick around.
New posts when they happen. No filler.
